115/365 Kingman

A few final random pictures from the weekend. The locomotive is the centerpiece of the main town park.
Dan saw this house as an oasis in the desert and had to stop for the pic.

We had dinner at the classic Mr. D'z on Route 66, right in the heart of Kingman - the typical retro diner ..... and good food too. Dan had the root beer and said it was delish! Guess they make their own. We'll be sure to take you all there when you visit!
(Thanks for the tip Pat)

114/365 Cars, Cars

This weekend in Kingman was highlighted by a classic car "fun run" and show. We wandered amongst the old cars for a couple hours and I have to admit Dan took all these pic-a-day photos. The whole event had such a small town atmosphere; everyone was chatty and friendly, there were plenty of people but not mobbed, the weather was perfect, there was live music in the park....just a fun event. These are just a sample of the many we took - some may be headed for framing.....

I joined Dan in Kingman this weekend to house-hunt. We took some time to enjoy the area as well and took a drive out of town where we found this giant sign. Seemed a perfect photo-op.
